Nearing the final stretch—full of kicks, cravings, and quiet moments
Today marks Day 245 of this beautiful, overwhelming, and unforgettable journey. I’m about 35 weeks pregnant, and while there’s still a little way to go, I can feel that the finish line is near—or rather, a whole new beginning is.
The past eight months have been filled with moments I never imagined. From the first positive test to the first kick, the baby growing inside me has already changed my world. Each day now feels more real—more connected to the life that’s about to enter this world.
What 35 Weeks Feels Like
At this stage, my body is working overtime. There are aches I didn’t expect, a belly that seems to grow overnight, and a sense of fatigue that no amount of rest seems to fix. But alongside the physical exhaustion is an overwhelming sense of wonder.
The baby responds to my voice, stretches when I lie down, and even gets hiccups — which feel like little rhythmic taps in my belly. These moments make everything worth it.
The Mix of Emotions
Right now, I’m balancing excitement and nervousness.
-
Is the nursery ready?
-
Will I know when labor starts?
-
Am I really ready to become a parent?
I remind myself daily: There’s no perfect way to prepare. There’s only love, patience, and presence.
Looking Ahead
With just a few weeks left, I’m focusing on rest, connection, and calm. I’m reading, talking to my baby, packing my hospital bag — and quietly cherishing these final days of carrying life inside me.
Day 245 is a reminder that the journey is still unfolding. It’s not about counting down — it’s about soaking it in.
Soon, very soon, I’ll meet the little one I’ve dreamed about for months. But today, I’m just grateful to still be in this sacred space — of waiting, of growing, of loving deeply before we’ve even met.
